TAXCO
CREATIONS
Introduction and
History:
We at
Taxco Creations are building upon the legacy of William “Guillermo” Spratling, a
lifelong family friend and familial “uncle.” Bill is considered the renaissance man
who, between the 1920’s-1960’s, revitalized and reintroduced the Taxco silver
industry to the world via Tiffany’s and Sax 5th
Avenue.
Since 1963, when initially asked by him
to become an apprentice, and help learn and assume the business after completion
of my schooling, I have always considered this to become my life’s
endeavor. Unfortunately, due to
his untimely demise in 1967, during my senior year of school, this endeavor was
temporarily diverted to plan B of college, and a career in the
States.
Over the
decades I’ve traveled back to Taxco many times to evaluate the prospects of one
day resuming my so called destiny in the silver jewelry trade here.
After 5 decades I have successfully navigated my way back, and have now,
with my family members who are
jewelers and diamond setters, along with a local long time Taxco silver family,
begun the enterprise called Taxco
Creations.
We are a
small, green oriented company that is concentrating on using .950 “quality”
sterling silver designs, with recycled precious and semi-precious color stones
of gem quality, along with Gibeon meteorites, and other metals and woods, to
offer a “unique” and “one of a kind” hand crafted approach
to the next generation of Taxco silver
jewelry.
Our
objective is to engage in an e-commerce approach to sales, and have entered
into an alliance with “Julia’s Designs”, a multi-faceted company, along with
their Mundo Marino Jewelry lines, as well as Etsy.com , and other sites, and
the industry trade shows, in Mexico and the United States, to further gain
exposure.
We offer
various levels of jewelry designs and strive to be quality conscious in our
more modest designs, as well as our fine jewelry.
We wish to avail our products to all avenues of taste and
diversity.
Please feel free to
follow us on our home sites in Julia’s Designs, Etsy.com, and the jewelry and
gemological trade shows as we grow.
You can also follow us on Facebook as Taxco Creations, and at
www.taxcocreations.Tumblr.com, as we post and
update our new designs, and of course at [email protected]
.
We at
Taxco Creations always anticipate and appreciate your feedback, so we hope to
hear from you, and please stay in touch!
Thanks for your interest.
